Gaynes Park Christmas Wedding ❤ Lorna & Mike ❤ Essex Wedding Photography

I love a Christmas wedding and I love Gaynes Park and once you meet Lorna and Mike you can’t help but love them too so I knew their wedding was going to be one very special day.  And it was….  I arrived with plenty of time to spare so started with some photos of the grounds and all the wonderful details then Lorna arrived and I spent some time with her and the girls in the Apple Loft – she looked so beautiful and I loved her striking red lipstick.  Lorna wasn’t sure and kept asking me if she looked OK – my reaction was (like the big baby I am) to well up – OK?  nooo – stunning!!   I kept an eye out for Mike’s car and ran down to get some shots of him with his best man and Lorna’s dad putting on their button hole flowers and straightening their ties – they looked so smart!  Speaking of flowers it was lovely to meet Fiona of Wild About You Flowers – the bouquets & button holes were all beautifully arranged and I loved the wreath on the door to the Apple Loft.  The mistletoe went down a treat later too!  The ceremony was lovely with a heart felt reading from Mike’s sister then everyone braved the chilly weather for a couple of shots outside and some canopes. Then after a few happy couple photos in the grounds it was time to sit down for the meal – what a delicious treat!  The best scotch egg I’ve ever tasted and I think everyone who’s ever had one would agree!  Later I whisked Mike and Lorna back outside for a long exposure shot under the twinkly lights of the pergola in the gardens – the lights of the motorway in the distance made it look like a sunset!  Shhhh – we’ll just pretend that’s what it was!  After some fun & emotional speeches there was the cake cutting, first dance, sparklers and boogie woogie shots.  My sides nearly split with the sparkler photos – I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much!!  I didn’t want to leave, but with a long journey home I called it a night around 10pm – grabbed myself a hog roast bap and a cuddle from the gorgeous bride & groom and drove home with a big grin on my face – all ready to take on Christmas!  Thank you so much Lorna & Mike for choosing me to capture your big day for you – it was such a pleasure!  Many congratulations (again!) from me xxx  Here are some of my favourites from the day….

Tracey & David ~ Winter Wonderland Wedding ~ The Langstone Hotel ~ Hampshire Wedding Photographer

I coudn’t have been happier for Tracey and David when she told me they were getting married!  They are such a lovely couple and although I’d not met David before I’ve known Tracey for a few years now as she works at the school where my children go and I did a little family shoot with her & her 2 children, her brother & nephew a few years ago.  Having said that, as soon as I did meet David it felt like I’d known him for such a long time and that they’d been together forever!

Their wedding day was so special, they got married in the lovely St Peter’s Church in Westhampnett, Tracey’s son walked her up the aisle with her parents proudly watching on and her daughter did a beautiful reading at the end of the ceremony – it was hard not to well up!  After a couple of photos and some confetti throwing we all went onto the Langstone Hotel in Hayling Island where they’d chosen to have a winter wonderland wedding – it all looked so beautiful!  Tracey looked stunning in her long elegant gown and David scrubbed up rather nicely too!  Their ice whites and blues theme in the flowers were just gorgeous – Fantastic job Lou of Daisies Flowers!  (Lou is doing my flowers later this year for my big day and I cannot recommend her enough!)  Actually Tracey had gone for a bit of the dream team with my favourite makeup artist too!  The lovely Sarah of Enhance Makeup.

Thank you so much for having me along to capture it all for you Tracey and David and for letting me share some of my favourites on the blog… xx

Serena & Paul … plus 1 ❤ West Sussex Family Photographer

It was so lovely to hear from Serena again after I did their wedding photos a couple of years ago – and even lovelier to hear she and Paul were now very proud and loving parents to a gorgeous little baby boy and even more lovelier still to be asked to photograph them as a family!  It was great to catch up with them again before Christmas and meet baby Oscar but I couldn’t share any photos on my blog or facebook as they were surprise presents for doting family members – who I’ve since heard were very happy with their pictures!  We did the shoot in two parts as Oscar was just so over whelmed by the bright leaves on the trees outside (hehehe) and couldn’t concentrate on his new surroundings and smiling at the same time!  But as soon as I popped over to his own home a few days later we had the smiley shots in the bag almost immediately!  What a happy chappy!  Helped with some great excited noises from Mum & crazy photographer lady!!

Here are some of my favourites from the two shoots…  he’s so cute ❤ … such a gorgeous family!  Thank you for letting me share some pics on my blog x
