Lovely Little family photo shoot in the woods ~ West Sussex Family Photographer

If you go down to the woods today…. there may not be a surprise and there’s no need for disguise just some good welly boots if you don’t want to get too muddy!  The beautiful Lucy and her gorgeous daughter Maisy braved it the other day despite the mud and we had a lovely little shoot in amongst the Autumn leaves.  Here are some of my favourites – thank you Lucy for letting me share a few on my blog x  It was great to meet you both  🙂

The Tithe Barn Wedding ~ Kelley & John said They Do! ~ Hampshire Wedding Photographer

I was fully booked, thinking wow what a year, I have so many amazing weddings!  Then Kelley & John got in touch and we met down the pub for a drink … just one more wedding I thought as I left, it won’t hurt – I can do it (ahem, I’ve since booked another 2 since then, oops!)  They were such a lovely couple and their big day sounded fantastic so I was over the moon & very excited when they said yes please Nicki!  And wow… what a day!  I loved every minute of it.  The Tithe Barn in Hampshire is a stunning venue and with the light fading fast as the rain clouds set in we were able to do a mixture of outside and indoor shots – equally loving the Autumn colours outside and the big leather sofas up in the gallery area!

Kelley and John were made for each other – I love how John towers over Kelley but never ever over powers her, they just fit together perfectly and they are so in love you can’t help but smile when you’re around them.  I loved the special guest appearance of Betty – the VW Karmen Cabriolet from Solent Bug & Bus!  Great choice in wedding transport and fab for photos too!  Kelley & John have smashing friends and family and I was chuffed to bits to sit with some of them to tuck into the delicious wedding breakfast.  I really felt a part of the day and that always helps when photographing natural reactions from everyone there as they see me (hopefully) as another guest who just happens to have a big camera!  Anyway – enough waffling here are a gazillion of my favourite snaps from the day…  many congratulations to the very happy couple!  And thank you again for saying Yes Please Nicki!

St Andrews by the Ford & Boxgrove Village Hall ~ Nicola & Richard’s Perfect Day ~ West Sussex Wedding Photographer

When I say perfect… I really do mean it!  Everything about their special day was truly wonderful – from the fantastic weather, to the beautiful flowers by Daisies in Middleton, from how gorgeous Nicola looked, to their fabulous choice of church and reception venue and how amazingly they decorated it all.   They even had a tree in the middle of the village hall!  Love it!!  Nicola & Richard already have their own adorable little family and with their extended family and all their friends around them, some coming from as far as Australia to share and help them out with their special day, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house during the speeches – including mine!  Yep, it was an emotional one!  But full of fun, love and laughter too.  I loved all their personal little touches and the earthy feel – perfect again for such a down to earth couple.  I think pretty much everyone helped them out with something – the cake, the music, the decor… just hope with these photos they will always remember what a wonderful day it was.  Thank you so much for having me along to share it all with you xx

Here are just some of my favourites from the day – I’m afraid there are more than just a few!!

Aww just got this message from Nicola as I was typing this post:

“Thank you so very much for our bundle of wedding pictures.. We love it all… the album, the prints, the discs and i was not expecting to have the discs presented so beautifully in their little individual cases complete with wooden heart, cute stickers, gorgeous ribbon and in a chiffon bag!!! I have been thinking about our wedding day this evening & the best thing we ever did, by far, (and this comes from Richard’s mouth too!) is to have booked you as our photographer.. And get married of course! 😉 xxx”

I do love my job… and this makes the long hours and dedication to what I do all worth while  🙂

Surrey Maternity & Newborn Photography ~ Sophie & Liam Become 3 ~ Hello Baby Arthur

I first met the lovely Sophie & Liam back in April when I had the great pleasure of photographing Dan & Helen’s wedding.  Sophie was one of Helen’s beautiful bridesmaids and she already had a teeny weeny bump back then.  I was so flattered & excited when they contacted me in September for a Year in the Life of package – to include a maternity shoot on the beach.  I’m sure Sophie won’t mind me saying her bump had got just a little bit bigger!  So beautiful though and we had fun wondering along the breezy seafront for a few cuddly natural photos of the nearly 3 of them!   A few weeks later I nipped up to visit them for one of the easiest newborn shoots ever!  Little Arthur was the perfect model and slept for most of it, awww such a gorgeous little man – congratulations Sophie & Liam, he’s one very lucky baby to have such wonderful parents.  Can’t wait to see you all again in a few months xx and thank you so much for letting me blog a few photos too…
