Bognor Regis Wedding by the sea ~ Jane & Ollie said they do…. West Sussex Wedding Photographer

Saturday was hot!!!  Jane and Ollie couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!  Blue skies and still waters – made for a fab backdrop for evening photos down on the beach…  more to follow soon but here’s a sneak peek for now before the newly weds jet off on their honeymoon.  Thanks for booking me guys – sorry for the crazy group shot madness in the garden – lack of space, shade and time made it so tricky but you were all superstars and hopefully we managed to get all the traditional shots you wanted as well as the list you gave me… x

West Wittering Sunset Pre Wedding Shoot ~ Kelley & John

Today was Kelley’s birthday and we couldn’t have asked for a more amazing evening for hers and John’s pre wedding shoot.  This is just a sneak peek with many more to edit but with their big day fast approaching and an extremely busy month ahead for me I wanted them to have a few to look through…  promise to edit some more soon!  I really can’t wait for their big day at Tithe Barn in early October …  it’s going to be amazing!

West Sussex Wedding Photographer ~ Susie & Damien’s pre wedding & family shoot ~ West Wittering Beach…

The first time I met Susie & Damien properly was on their pre wedding shoot and the light was fading fast so there wasn’t much time for a chit-chat …  we had a quick look at a couple of sample albums then we had to get straight down to photo-taking!  But they are so much fun and so laid back, there were grins and giggles from my first click and their 2 gorgeous boys were so happy and smiley too.  We had a blast!  And the combination of those fabulous smiles and that fading evening light was ooooh so gorgeous!  And check out the squishy hug with daddy at the end… so cute!!

Can’t wait for their big day at the end of September….!

My Sample Folio Wedding Album ~ Fine Art Beauty & Eco Friendly too!

I was so excited when a big box arrived on my doorstep a few weeks ago – my beautiful FOLIO sample album had landed and wow…. what a work of art!  The craftmanship is next to none, the print quality exceptional and the finish on the album is just sublime.  I chose the duck egg blue leather cover (called jade) and treated myself to a sumptious fabric sleeve too in bright stripes & polka dots.  You’ll notice some of the pages are quite busy – that’s on purpose!  Weddings are busy days with so much going on, so much happening in such a short space of time so I like to reflect this in my album designs – that way you get to pick more photos to be showcased too!

Here’s just a little bit of what folio write on their website about their amazing product:

“Folio Albums are made in the UK using a combination of traditional methods and the latest materials, technology and techniques.  Folio Albums have a quality matte finish with a vibrancy and clarity that traditional photographic prints and albums can’t match. Hand bound and encased in fine, natural leather, they open out flat with an almost invisible crease, so each image is on full view. We work hard to create beautiful albums which is why each album is handmade and quality checked throughout the process. We’re confident you and your clients will love the end result”.  {hell yeah!!}

“Our paper is recycled or bought from sustainable sources wherever possible, and we use environmentally friendly packaging that protects your albums while keeping waste to a minimum.  Your album will be wrapped in a sleeve made from natural, unbleached cotton and then carefully placed in a sleek keepsake box made from recycled materials”.  {that’s where I upgraded to the stripes and polka dot sleeve}…

“We all want to be a bit greener, don’t we?  We’ll make your album in the UK using as many local suppliers as we can to cut down the jet fuel used to bring it to you. Our pigment based printing process uses less toxic chemicals than traditional photographic prints and there is less waste.  Once your album is ready we’ll ship it to you using UPS’s carbon neutral service. Our website is also PAS 2060 certified carbon neutral.”

“Our albums are designed to be enjoyed, not just now but by future generations too.  We use fine art, archival quality papers and inks so your albums will last a lifetime and beyond.  The glue used to make your album is acid free, nontoxic and will not yellow over time.”

You can read more about Folio and browse the different options on their site here – Folio Albums.

… So there was nothing else to do really but take my album out to a field somewhere and take some photos!  (much to the confusion and suprise on some dog walkers’ faces!)

Thanks to Olly & Kirsty my gorgeous bride and groom from 2011 whose wedding I chose to use for this album.  Takes me back – what a wonderful day that was at Dorset House School!

More photos soon of some of my mid-range albums and my standard A4 ones too….

I’m so keen to design another one of these beauties for someone that the first couple to book the top package that includes this album can have £50 off the final price!  🙂  (This is open to couples who’ve already booked – if you fancy upgrading just let me know!!) xx

Arundel Park fun Pre Wedding Shoot ~ Emily & Hugh ~ West Sussex & Surrey Wedding Photography

Emily and Hugh would already be Mr & Mrs right now but they changed their date to one in September because I was already booked in August!  Bless them ❤….  OK so it had better not rain on their big day now!!  I just adore how they are together – so much fun, so relaxed with the camera, (even though they thought they wouldn’t be!)…. and gorgeous too – what more could a photographer want?!

I can’t wait for their big day in less than 3 weeks away!  Harvey the fabulously bonkers spaniel features in some photos but he was so busy running around sniffing every blade of grass that when he did come back he was so exhausted it was hard to get a snap without his big tongue hanging out!  Hehehe!  So roll on Sept 15th and the delights of the a-m-aaazing venue Clandon Park – woweeee!
