I knew I wouldn’t know where to begin with Caris & Nicky’s wedding!  What a fantastic day…  I started with the girls at Caris’s mum’s house – poor Caris had very tight curlers in her hair which hurt a LOT when being tugged taken out, I felt mean capturing it on camera, she was physically wincing from the pain (but it did make for fun shots!).  Other than that it was a relaxed morning full of giggles and laughter and vintage champagne!  Then I met up with the boys a bit before the ceremony at the gorgeous venue.  Goodwood Park Hotel is a fabulous place to get married in, very stylish and the ceremony room has recently been painted a lovely light blue colour reflecting light all around – perfect!  We couldn’t resist afterwards nipping out the back to get some photos of the happy couple with Goodwood House itself in the backdrop – stunning.  Caris & Nicky were so much fun to be with – hopefully they enjoyed their mini shoot too 🙂  I got on extremely well with their videographer from Shortfilm Company – what a great guy!  Loved the video diary room he set up for the evening too, wonderful idea – almost pinched his big chair in the shape of a shoe though!  Caris and Nicky had effortlessly (or so it looked!) combined the old with the new for the wedding breakfast, the room itself modern with the fantastic black and white photos on the walls depicting various Goodwood racing events, yet the tables decorated beautifully with vintage bird cages and flowers – oh and I loved the cookie monster cupcake favours!  During the speeches (which were hilarious!) two of their bridesmaids revealed via a large projector that they had gone to all the effort of dressing up as Caris and Nicky and going up to London where Nicky works and sneaking into their house back home to take funny photos that went with a poem they’d made up about them.  The whole wedding party was falling about laughing (including their photographer!) – what a moment!  The laughter did not stop there as the happy couple and guests took to the dance floor.  My only regret was that Nicky waited till after I’d gone home to do a striptease!!!  Thank you so much for choosing me to capture your day for you Mr & Mrs Baker (and to Emma & Tom for recommending me!) – I had an absolute blast and hope these photos show just that…. x
