Katy and Andy booked me over a year ago so I had been looking forward to their big day for such a long time! I love Highdown Gardens next to the hotel and kept thinking of all the wonderful flowers that would be in bloom and how pretty their photos would be! Then the rains came and the gardens were a wash out! But we cannot let rubbish weather get us down on a wedding day – brides, grooms, guests and photographers alike! Brollies make great props for photos anyway 😉 I don’t think Katy & Andy even really noticed the weather as they were having such a wonderful time with their friends & family and luckily we got a couple of dry spells during the day where we were able to nip out quickly for a few happy couple shots. Katy looked truly beautiful in her Maggie Sottero wedding dress and I loved her pretty shoes from Belle too. I had a lovely time with Katy and her bridesmaids at her parents house in the morning, I left a bit before them to meet up with the lads in the pub opposite the church. They were in fine spirits and looking very dapper and it’s always nice when you’re having a drink with your mates in a confined space under a brollie for a photographer to stick a camera in your face! (I’m not usually that in-yer-face but it was raining – sorry folks!) The ceremony was beautiful and back at the hotel the reception room looked incredible! An old underground bunker that you wouldn’t even know exists! But inside it’s a beautiful room with the most magnificent grand staircase leading you down. I really did enjoy Andy & Katy’s big day and I wish them all the very best for their future together – thank you for choosing me to capture your wedding xx Now for some (OK… a lot of!) photos…
If you were a guest at their wedding and would like to see more photos or would just like to leave the couple a lovely comment then I’d love to hear from you – just type a few words in the box below….
