Becky & Neil ❤ Married ❤ ~ St Mary’s Church Lavant & Cowdray Park Golf Club Part 1 ~ West Sussex Wedding Photography

Becky & Neil’s beautiful vintage inspired wedding day took place at St Mary’s church in Lavant then onto a fabulous marquee reception and buffet banquet in the gorgeous surroundings of Cowdray Park Golf Club.  To say I loved everything about their day is an understatement – it just ooozed love and happiness and beauty and it was perfect!

We started off at Becky & Neil’s home in Bognor for some getting ready shots and with a little help from the ladies at Lotus hairdressers and Kerri Harrison make-up; WOW Becky – you looked amaaazing!  Before setting off to the church we stopped to say hello to Becky’s dear Grandma who couldn’t make the day, so Becky could show off her Paloma Blanca dress from Proposals in Chichester to her – I think judging by how lovely Becky’s grandma is and how well dressed she was, Becky is a chip off the block!  What a wonderful lady – a real honour to photograph such special moments.  Then we headed to the church for the ceremony which was lovely – I cannot get over how excited their flower girls and page boys were when Becky arrived, screaming she’s here, she’s here!  They were such cuties!

On the lead up to their wedding the weather had been pretty dire (what is up with the weather this year?!) but the sun shone for us all day and after some fun confetti shots and lots of hugging and congratulating we went onto Cowdray Park Golf Club where the marquee had been beautifully decorated in a vintage theme with a sweetie table, a gorgeous cake made by a very clever family member and a delicious buffet banquet organised by the club!  Becky & Neil’s friend provided some magic tricks for entertainment – he was very good!  We did a few more group photos and some couple’s portraits on the golf course – Becky & Neil in one golf cart and me and my cameras in another following them around – my god it was hilarious trying to work out how to drive that buggy!!  Later in the evening they had the amazing band The Road Runners UK play their first dance for them and to get the party going – they were fantastic as ever!  I was thoroughly impressed and totally spoiled to share their special day with them.  Thank you so much Becky & Neil for booking me and I wish you all the happiness in the world together xx

I really should be in bed but whilst I was backing up my photos from Esterlee & John’s amazing wedding today at Old Selden Farm Barn in Patching near Worthing I just had to share a few!  I had such a fantastic time with all their wonderful friends & family – I cannot even begin to describe how much effort went into the beautiful decor inside the barn – immense is perhaps a good word!  There were butterflies and flowers and diamante and feathers and a choccywoccydoodah cake!!  Esterlee looked… stunning!  Ah the dress… beautiful.  OK off to the land of nod now but here’s a snippet of their big day – thank you to Esterlee & John for chosing me to capture it for you and many heart-felt congratulations to you both xx (and apologies John for the one with you in glasses!!  I promise there’ll be a nicer one in the final line up of pics  😉  hehehe

Becky & Neil ❤ Married ❤ ~ St Mary’s Church Lavant & Cowdray Park Golf Club ~ West Sussex Wedding Photography

This is meant to be just a sneak peek but in true Nicki style I couldn’t even keep this post brief!  Such a wonderful day…  I said it on facebook but I’ll say it again here – I knew how adorable Becky and Neil were when I first met them and now I know how adored they are too.  Fantastic day with lovely friends and family – very special.  I often get a bit welled up at weddings, especially during the speeches but I’m afraid I actually had a bit of a boo when Becky went to see her granny before heading off to the church.  I lost my dear grandma at the beginning of this year and miss her so much so I knew this would be an emotional part of the day for me but what I wasn’t expecting was how much like my own granny she was!  What a lovely lady – all dressed up to the nines with her pearls and gorgeous lacey frock on.  It meant so much to her to see Becky in her gorgeous wedding dress … anyway, nuff said cos I’m getting all teary again thinking about it!  Here’s that sneak peek and thank you thank you thank you to Becky and Neil for hiring me to be their photographer xx

Sara & Mike ❤ Married ❤ The Ravenswood East Grinstead ~ West Sussex Wedding Photography

Sara & Mike’s wedding was HOT!  Lots of sunshine, love & laughter and soooo much fun.  It’s hard to believe the heat wave we had was just a couple of weeks ago?  What happened to our summer?!

The Ravenswood East Grinstead

I had a real giggle with Sara and her bridesmaids and the scenery at Ravenswood is stunning for photos.  Sara looked amazing and Mike looked gorgeous too but I think their lovely little boy and their beautiful neice might have stolen the show just a little bit!!  😉  For a change I’ve put together a slideshow with some of my favourite photos from their day and Sara has kindly let me share it as it’s the first time I’ve made a slideshow – it’s just over 10 minutes long so feel free to grab a cuppa first then sit back and enjoy!

Thank you so much Sara & Mike for having me along for the day and here’s to many many happy years together as Mr & Mrs Ball xx  (thank you for my lovely thank you card too!) …

Abby & Ian ❤Get Hitched❤ {Weald & Downland Open Air Museum Singleton & East Dean Village Hall} West Sussex Wedding Photographer

Back in April I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Abby & Ian’s big / little day at the Weald & Downland museum!  I say big / little as they really didn’t want any fuss at all – no speeches, no first dance, no rings, they even wanted to see each other before the ceremony (shock horror!!) 😉  Everything about their day was just perfect though and a true delight to photograph.  I knew when I first met Abby & Ian in a pub in Lurgashall village that we would get along and their day sounded exactly as I’d like mine to be (one day!)…  just one big happy party…!  Abby chose a beautiful Vivien of Holloway number for her dress with a gorgeous pink frilly petticoat and both Abby & Ian wore cowboy boots from Sheplers which were oooh so funky!  Most of their day was homespun and handmade.  Ian made the ties, Abby’s mum made the bridesmaid’s dresses, her Dad the wooden signs and hearts and everyone clubbed together to make the cakes, cake stands, bunting etc.. etc… my camera was click click clicking away like crazy all day!  The band “The Biggin Hillbillies” were brilliant – I wanted to get up and boogie with everyone else.  The hog roast was delicious – and it just so happens I knew the people who run Forest Hogs and a fine bunch of folk they are too!

It rained, it poured, the sun shone and set and all the while Abby & Ian’s guests had the best time!  I want to photograph it all over again!  Here are some of my favourites… (there’s a lot!)…  oh and their wedding was even featured on the amazing UK Wedding Blog Rock n Roll Bride – that’s worth a whopping great fat yeeeehaaaa surely?!!
