Becky & Neil’s Pre Wedding Shoot ~ West Sussex Wedding Photographer ~ ~Engagement Shoot Chichester~

Becky & Neil were on the look out for a wedding photographer when they saw me doing Caris & Nicky’s pre wedding shoot on the beach back in February.  She called me up the next day, we met a couple of days later and they booked me there and then!  I think we have similar styles & tastes – we both like hearts and all things vintage-y for a start.  Neil just loves what Becky loves!  He’s a star and quite clearly adores her.  Their pre wedding shoot was such a giggle – a mystery tour around Sussex one sunny evening.  We stopped off at Boxgrove Priory ruins, a woodland in Goodwood then onto the church in Lavant where they will be tying the knot in just under two weeks time.  Finally we were just heading home when we saw there was water in the river at Lavant and the sun coming through the trees so we just had to stop again (poor Neil!)!!  They are so easy to photograph though, Becky is so beautiful and they make a great couple.  I can’t wait for their BIG day!

Esterlee & John’s Pre Wedding Shoot ~ Hotham Park, Bognor Regis ~ West Sussex Wedding Photographer ~

Esterlee & John originally wanted a pre wedding shoot in the snow and I got all excited when we had that little flurry of white stuff at the beginning of the year but we never managed to all be available on the same day  :(.  So… we planned a nice warm Spring shoot instead but had to cancel 2 or 3 times due to heavy rain!  The way the weather has been recently it wouldn’t have surprised me if they’d have had a 2nd chance of a shoot in snow in May!  It’s freeeeezing isn’t it!?  Fortunately we did get about 5 minutes of sun yesterday and it was great to see them both again as their wedding day at Old Selden Farm Barn has crept up so quick on us – see if you can guess when it is from the photos!  Esterlee was so nervous, Roxy dog was crazy for squirrels in Hotham Park and John was nice and chilled about the whole thing… my main aim of the shoot was to help Esterlee feel more relaxed in front of the camera and hopefully I achieved that, I don’t think her nerves show in the photos but Esterlee might tell us she felt differently!  I just have to add… Esterlee, you have the most amazing eyes!!  Here are some of my favs.  I cannot wait for their big day in just a few weeks time 🙂

If you like what you see and you’re getting married then please give me a shout for a quote and to check availability – 01243 587517.

A Lovely Family Photo Shoot at West Witterings Beach…

Last weekend I met with this lovely family for some fun and photos on the beach!  We did have a giggle and it turns out their little boy goes to the same school I used to go to over 30 years ago!  So we chatted about the rocking horse that is still in the corridor outside the classrooms and then they ran around in the dunes whilst I snapped away.  I love how relaxed they look in the photos – a few “safe” smiley shots looking at me but the rest were just as they were; a fun, happy, wonderful little family.  Gorgeous 🙂  I would like to thank them for letting me share a few on my blog x  If you like these photos and would like your own family shoot then give me a shout – 01243 587517 or enquiries@nfelthamphotography.co.uk

Helen & Daniel ❤Married❤ ~ The Barn at Bury Court, Bentley ~ Hampshire Wedding Photography

How often do I start a blog post with wow?!  Well add one more post to that list because WOW!  Helen & Dan’s wedding day was so very special, it was perfect, they are such a beautiful couple inside and out.  We got on really well right from the start when we met in Chichester a year and a half ago and they totally rocked their pre wedding shoot in a retro vintage steam park on the big wheel and carousels, so I really couldn’t wait for their wedding day!!  Everything about it from the stunning venue The Barn at Bury Court to their fantastic quirky invitations reflected them and their love for each other and their amazing friends and family made it even more special for them helping style the barn (what an amazing job they did too!) and making the magnificent cake – it looked and tasted delicious, and the gorgeous ceramic heart favours were made by Daniel’s clever sister Clare!  Helen & Dan were totally immersed and surrounded by love all day and you could really feel it, I felt so lucky to be their photographer.  Rain didn’t even dampen the spirits – we carried on regardless with big umbrellas 🙂  Helen looked absolutely breath taking in her Jenny Packham dress and vintage head piece, her fabulous velvet shoes with those killer heels were Kurt Geiger and the beautiful vibrant shawl was a star find from good old ebay!  Daniel didn’t look too bad himself!  Loved the braces 🙂  Their friend and fellow photographer Beatrix Fuhrmann took some amazing photos for them too, as well as teach them a dance to wow their guests on the dance floor.  Helen said she fluffed it but you never would have known!  After a few boogie woogie shots I set up an evening SNAPstick photo booth for them – such a giggle.  I’ll stop waffling on now and share with you some (OK a lot!) of my favourites from their big day.  Thank you soooo much for choosing me to capture it all for you – I wish you all the happiness and love in the world ….❤….

If you like what you see and want to know my availability and prices for your special day or you were a guest at Helen & Dan’s wedding and would like to see more (there are a few hundred more!) then please get in touch – 01243 587517 or enquiries@nfelthamphotography.co.uk

The Welcome Home Workshop with the Wonderful Emma Case {Kapow} “My Light Bulb Moment”!!

I’ve been wanting to go on some sort of course or workshop for a while now and have been searching the interweb to try and find something that I know I will benefit from, there are loads out there but nothing ever really made me want to have to book up!  Then the lovely Emma Case announced she would be running a day’s workshop and that was it – not a moment’s hesitation (didn’t even know Steve could get the day off to have the kids!) but I knew I had to book.  Lucky I did as it sold out within a few hours I think – if not less.  How chuffed (not to mention nervous & excited) was I?!!

I love Emma’s work and have followed her blog and drooled over her website for some time now along with thousands of other photographers and couples and wedding industry folk all over the world.  Her photos really do move me, they make me laugh – they even made us all cry with the stories that went with them that we got to hear about on the day!  Emma is honest, true, funny, beautiful, friendly and swears a lot (oops!) wears her heart on her sleeve!  But you know this before you even meet her, so… you think…. can she really be like that in “real life“?  Yes she can and she most certainly is!  Et voila – the light bulb moment for me – be myself all the time and not worry what others might be thinking – when I’m writing emails, designing my website, putting together blog posts etc. etc…  just    be     me…  then hopefully this will attract couples who are informal, friendly, fun, relaxed, have a sense of humour, a romantic side and are a little bit arty and daft, … just like me! 🙂 (past couples now reading this are wondering if they are any of these things?!! hehehe)… of course you were – OK maybe you weren’t daft and the majority trusted me to be the arty one!

Ah what a day though – we got to meet Emma’s gorgeous other half Pete who looked after us all so well (they really are two halves of a whole, love ’em!) and the very talented Lee from Shutterbox Flms, also Emma’s lovely sister Jodie who worked really hard behind the scenes & did an amazing job with styling … it was just all SO much fun, we all felt ridiculous amounts of different emotions throughout the day, the weather did some crazy-ass stuff, I re-discovered my WHY, I learnt so much about myself, that camera settings don’t really matter – just do what works best for you, I met so many other wonderful & inspiring photographers (BIG love to you all!) and most importantly we all left with that warm fuzzy feeling of Welcome Home…. ❤

Here are some of my favourite snaps from the day – check Emma, Pete & Lee’s funky office (loving the views from the windows…) and you’re in for a treat with Lauren & Ste our stupidly gorgeous models for the day (Lauren’s dress  – Fur Coat no Knickers – Make-up – Makeup By Jodie) who we shot in the stairwell and a room filled with amazing natural light in Birmingham’s uber groovy former Custard Factory.  I want to do it all over again – when’s the next one Emma?! 🙂 xx

Sooooo lovely to meet you all xxx  🙂
