I joined a charity group on facebook a while back called Count the Kicks who campaign to bring knowledge and awareness to all mums to be during their pregnancy. I was in touch with a lovely lady who was going to have a bump shoot with me and then we were going to select a photo to enter into the Count the Kicks 2012 calendar competition but she had her (gorgeous!) baby early! Then Sarah messaged me to say she didn’t have long to go and could she model for me instead. I jumped at the chance, sometimes when you have a willing model who’s not paying you to take their photo you can suggest going to the beach at sunset in a bikini and they’re totally up for it! (Poor Sarah was shivvering by the end tho, ooops sorry xx!) Sarah and I are going to select our favourite 3 or 4 shots in the next few days then I will put it to vote on my facebook business page as to which one we enter into the competition. I’ve never entered a competition before with one of my photos! Eeeek – that’s why I’m asking others to chose because what I like about a photo might not be what appeals to everyone else.
Anyway… that said (!!) here are my favourites from the shoot. Thank you to Sarah & her beautiful bump for allowing me to share these images…
If you’d like to pay me to come down to the beach at sunset and shivver whilst I take your photo I’ll happily oblige!!

oooh, i was just being a bit nosey as also entering competition but had to come on and say they are beautiful, i wish more of my clients would think about outdoor shoots instead of studio. i personally think the bottom one is a very classic calendar shot and works really well but my personal fave is the 4th from bottom – its a great image of the model looking happy and relaxed, the wind has caught her hair nicely and the angle is perfect for emphasisng her bump and figure
Thank you Melissa and Trina 🙂 Wish we could enter more than one pic per model!
